Overview

Version 4.0.0 is a major release of the Aixa platform, expanding the tools available for creating, managing and delivering AI-powered digital human experiences.

This release introduces PowerPoint support within Sections, enabling presentations to be viewed, edited, synchronized and used directly within Aixa experiences.

Version 4 also introduces Teams and Workspaces, expanded access and permission controls, enhanced project and course management, custom presentation fonts, improved security scanning and significant improvements to Courses, digital human configuration and platform administration.

Courses continue to be available in Beta while additional learning, reporting and management capabilities are developed.

PowerPoint in Sections

PowerPoint presentations can now be used directly within the Sections workflow.

Version 4 introduces:

• PowerPoint viewing and editing within Sections

• Embedded slide rendering through an isolated presentation viewer

• Saving and synchronization of presentation changes

• Automatic thumbnail generation for PowerPoint sections and slides

• Improved PowerPoint asset loading and retrieval

• PowerPoint asset download and retrieval APIs

• Improved support for Section 0 rendering, editing, numbering and thumbnails

• Read-only PowerPoint previews for users without editing permissions

PowerPoint autosaving has also been redesigned to improve reliability. Changes are detected automatically, rapid edits are consolidated, duplicate saves are avoided and version conflicts are handled more effectively.

Teams and Workspaces

Version 4 introduces new collaboration and organizational capabilities through Teams and Workspaces.

These capabilities include:

• Team creation and management

• Team invitations and member management

• Member roles and assignments

• Resource sharing between authorized users

• Workspace switching

• Workspace-level access and permission controls

• Project and course member management

• Access-check APIs for protected resources

These capabilities provide a stronger foundation for organizations managing multiple creators, reviewers, learners and shared resources.

Roles and access control

Access controls have been expanded throughout the platform.

Version 4 supports differentiated behavior for:

• Creators

• Reviewers

• Members

• Read-only users

Editing controls are automatically restricted when users do not have the required permissions, with additional server-side protections for update requests.

Read-only users can continue to access supported experiences, including PowerPoint previews and voice playback, without being given editing capabilities.

Custom presentation fonts

Version 4 introduces custom-font support for presentations.

Administrators and authorized users can:

• Upload custom font packages

• List available custom fonts

• Retrieve and download font packages

• Remove custom fonts

• Load custom fonts when rendering supported presentations

This provides greater consistency between original presentation designs and their appearance within Aixa.

Security scanning

Security controls for uploaded content have been expanded.

Version 4 introduces:

• Security scanning for PPTX and PDF files

• Background security scan jobs

• Scan progress and status feedback

• Security checks during asset uploads

• Security checks during avatar uploads

These changes strengthen the handling of user-provided files and platform assets.

Courses — Beta

Courses continue to expand in Version 4, providing tools for organizing content and activities into structured learning journeys.

Current capabilities include:

• Course creation and configuration

• Organization of learning activities into a defined sequence

• Course editing and publishing

• Assignment and access management

• Course member management

• Learner access to assigned courses

• Course progress and completion tracking

Project and resource management

Project management has been expanded with improvements to:

These changes make it easier to manage projects across larger teams and workspaces.

AI and digital human configuration

Localization

Localization support has been updated across the platform.

As part of this release, Polish, Russian and Ukrainian translation resources have been removed.
