How to use AI safely and effectively at work

Learning goal

Enable employees and contractors to use general-purpose AI responsibly and confidently at work, supporting the organization’s AI-literacy obligations under Article 4 of the EU AI Act without authorizing specialist or higher-risk AI uses.

Learning outcomes

• Recognize the capabilities, limitations, and risks of workplace AI, and verify AI-generated information in proportion to its potential consequences.
• Protect personal, confidential, commercially sensitive, and security-sensitive information by using approved AI tools, accounts, and purposes.
• Apply a five-question responsible-AI check to identify people-affecting uses and decide when to disclose, stop, report, seek approval, or escalate.

Employees and contractors with basic prior AI knowledge who use general-purpose AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, or AI features in workplace applications.
